Background
Sonarpur Progatir Pathe (SPP) is a Non Government Organization working for poor and distressed rural people in India. It is formed by some Ex-trainees of the Ramakrishna Mission, Samaj Sevak Shikshana Mandira, P.O.- Belur Math, Howrah. This NGO has been rendering its humble services in the fields of Health, Sanitation, Education, Socio-culture, Agriculture & Rural Development works for the uplift of the needy and neglected segment of the Society, particularly to the distressed communities of the remote and inaccessible areas since 2014. This organization has been working in various districts of West Bengal like South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Purulia, Paschim Burdwan, Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Purba Midnapore, Murshidabad, Dakshin Dinajpur, Darjeeling, Alipuduar, Coochbehar and Purba Midnapore. The objectives of the organisation is to focus on disseminating the awareness programmes on rural health, education and socio-economic environment among the rural people in remote block of Sunderbans i.e. Hingalganj, Hasnabad, Sandeshkhali-I&II of North 24 Parganas District and Namkhana, Sagar, Pathar Pratima, Basanti of South 24 Parganas Districts.
